Medieval Ii Gold No-cd

Festival 2009 at the CET test of Mughal: the culture of talent.

As some of you know I attended the CET (Central European Toscolano - http://www.cetmusic.it/ ), the famous Umbrian school for musicians founded by the author Mogul. In 2004 I won a scholarship in February 2005 I had my beautiful diploma. A wonderful experience, great learning both in terms of musical and human. After class alumni still have an opportunity to present and to evaluate their own work through the specimen Festival. In practice, the listening sessions and evaluation collective take place over two days in the auditorium of the CET. All material presented must be recorded, archived and judged by teachers and all participants. A few weeks later, by mail, comes the assessment of his material, with the average of the votes of peers and teachers, all signed by the same Mogol. Every year there are organized at least two of these festivals.
From a practical point of view you do not win anything, but still a winner is elected the same, these meetings are for students to have their own objective opinion on the material, while teachers can assess the artistic level of their former students and understand how are they applied the lessons data.

After this premise I can tell you my last experience at the Festival of the sample. 26 and Nov. 27, travel by train to the Toscolano return a nuisance ... as always! I listened to 15 times the last album of Placebo! We were about thirty participants, higher average age, many over 40 who had mostly texts to music. I divided the room with a cute boy Salerno, who also did the postman in Brescia and Bergamo! There was no one my former classmate, I found a couple of people I met when I auditioned the previous festivals ... dated December 2005! It's been a while already ...
session of plays was quite heavy, to evaluate and comment about 60 songs is not easy! Sometimes you evaluate everything, sometimes only the interpretation or text only. On the afternoon of 27 arrived Mogol and wanted to make one of his usual speeches. It 's always nice to hear Mr. Giulio (as we call it) is a great communicator in general, not just in the lyrics he writes! In his speech he reiterated the traditional concepts of objective value of popular works, is that you really need to try! He also did a brief survey on the "talent show" which he defined as a symptom of regression Music and the monopoly of the few labels left. One of speeches more interesting Mogol is on talent, which he thinks is just the beginning, indeed, the absolute minimum of the value of an artist! What really makes a difference is the result of the work, effort and research on ourselves. Unfortunately, today exists a "culture of talent", which are all talented! ... That is almost like saying that it is not none! Of course I fully agree with the albums, and I think all of us better or worse we are born with a talent, but if we can not develop it properly sooner or later it goes off!
In music today is fashionable to STAMP! If you have a vocal a bit 'special, maybe scratched (which is even more fashion ...) then you are a great talent! It does not matter then if you are a pole on stage, if you have no idea how to sing in the studio, and your record company will build a world around a club that has nothing to do with you! You have a good stamp? You have to sing! Ah ah ah ... I wonder if Bob Dylan would agree?!
