ENYA: 'Miraculum' THE THIRTEENTH TRACE (SPECIAL ANNIVERSARY 2O)

AND WINTER CAME ... the winter album by Enya (2008) contains 12 'tracks' music. Miraculum is the 13th track on the CD is not real but in the virtual or sold as MP3 files on websites selling music online.
One of the 12 pieces of so-called 'real', the eighth, ONE TOY SOLDIER , has the same base Music Miraculum o. .. vice versa, except for some differences in arrangement of opening and closing as the duration (differ by 1 second min. 3:53 instead of 3.54). Enya, then presents the public with two texts for only one music, one in English, Christmas with bells, a toy soldier ... and a second in Latin, arranged in a more evocative, with a text that refers to the navigation and the sea voyage. It 's easy to believe that, working the album, the team (Enya, Nicky Ryan and Roma) have tested and recorded two texts on the same music or even just that, to the Miraculum is chosen as suitable for purpose (a celebration of a 'navigation' music, Enya's career) , In the absence of other music satisfying.
of the song is just saying that is affordable, individually or 'bonus' by purchasing the entire CD, online (which is, in fact, commemorating 20 years of the singer's career, from Orinoco Flow (1988 ) and the album Watermark, Enya though it has begun some years earlier and, significantly, in 1986 with the music for the BBC documentary, The Celts and the 1987 album Enya ).

Miraculum arouses interest and enthusiasm but also disappointment. It is but ONE TOY SOLDIER sung in Latin with some diversity. Not part of the cd released by Enya, but is a bonus track on the album digitally. But curious about the mystique that surrounds it, is celebratory, like ... for Latin and music. It would take in the real tracklist of the CD with or instead of ONE TOY SOLDIER.
The official website of Enya, www.enya.com , Section 'lyrics - B Sides' gives the Latin text, with the title O Miraculum but without crediting it to Rome Ryan , as always. Important fact. Oversight? On the same
AND WINTER CAME ... appears in another piece, sung half in English and half in Latin by Enya: it is O Come, O Come, Emmanuel , a hymn 'Historical' and the advent of Christmas, a traditional-religious carol with ancient roots. In this piece you can imagine, and you understand or you understand the source, easily traceable. The same is stated for the Gaelic version of Silent Night, stranota as 'traditional'.
Analyzing Miraculum the lyrics of the song (which also appears online an English translation of the Latin words ) is immediately apparent:

1 - the coincidence between the age of 20, as a career by Enya, and you want to celebrate 20 years cited in the text of the piece, 20 years of sailing 'doing well': a wonder! So Enya's career to date.

2 - appears, then, evident that the onset of the text (O Semel canebamus , or once sang) is related with the central part ( In Hodierna dies today) and are also related themes sung 'once, yesterday' and 'today': last theme of the song was 'the moonlight sul'acqua, beaches, and a star in the sky' ... today, the singing is 'the white snow, the frost moonlight, tears and rain' .
One can not fail to see in these words references to 'Orinoco Flow' AND WINTER CAME and ... and its tracks: those that mention the snow, TRAINS AND WINTER RAINS (pioggee the winter and even tears, that 'cry' in the text of the song, the first single from Enya CD, which reminds us that even at Christmas there is the risk and tears ...), to THE SPIRIT OF CHRISTMAS PAST where they still speak of tears. In short, the themes of the 2008 CD by Enya.
All this seems too coincidental Miraculum like to think of an original text in Latin, caught by Enya (or as VENI, VENI EMMANUEL), to coincide Enya's career with the same (and probably would have also inspired the current phase dedicated to winter and to tears?). Yet the text is not attributed to Roma Ryan on the official website of Enya. This suggests an original text in Latin ... but to whom? After weeks of release, none of the trio and fans, which clarifies the ...
Reflecting, then, that this is not the first time he put in his cd Enya singing in Latin (there are some precedents from Cursum Perficio A Pax Deorum, and others) should understand So whether it is possible that Roma Ryan has written this text to really Enya, relation to the past 'in Latin' by Enya and Roma that the songs with Latin text and the claims for its texts of these pieces. Miraculum of the text itself is not complex, not a subordinate clause, short lines (subject, predicate, complement) or only single words. Just need to know, in basic Latin and not much more, a handful of words, to celebrate a career 'booming', miraculous, wonderful ... That in
-card receivables AND WINTER CAME ... Miraculum is not mentioned and did not say if it's a traditional or whatever, as you did for Silent Night (Gaelic) and O Come, O Come, Emmanuel, is because that is not part of Miraculum cd of the virtual reality, but only digital .... and this does not help. A final observation: as track (auto) celebrating the 20 years of success seems that the track has been put on the one hand, more than in evidence (as bonus track on a separate line from the other 12) and the other treated so - deliberately? - And somewhat mysterious, however, is deprived of those 'credits' and treatment is usually reserved for a song that Enya has ever album to album, and as stated, also in A WINTER CAME ... .

There is also another observation on the text to do - beyond the text of paternity or maternity and Miraculum as Enya songs in Latin, according to his mother tongue (eg see for all.: Caelum except by becoming 'celum except' a 'ECCI chelùm' original and fascinating to the ear, as sound, but also a little funny ... and as if - a native 'Anglo-American or Irish' - we sang in English as the language of the law is and not as it should be pronounced! We understand and would be weird ...) - ie in relation to the English translation.
should be noted that the English translation interpret the term 'strong crastinus DEIS' with 'Perhaps tomorrow' ie 'maybe tomorrow' . Enya sings the same time pronouncing the word 'DEIS' and 'dies'.
In Latin 'crastinus' is an adjective indicating 'tomorrow, tomorrow' and that associated with the word 'dies' , daily indicates 'Day tomorrow' ie 'tomorrow'. Instead, the word 'DEIS' us back to the term 'deus' and the dative-ablative plural case (DEIS, exactly, though it is a form of so-called 'rare' in the declension of the word) is to indicate 'to / with the gods', 'favor with the gods', 'please the gods'. So the point of the text should be translated 'perhaps tomorrow, the gods will raise the sails and sail '. Otherwise, if the Latin word was not 'DEIS' but 'dies', the English translation would be correct ('tomorrow') but Enya would sing, wrong, perhaps a misprint and inversion of vowels, which sings in Miraculum, ie 'DEIS' (s). If Enya, however, correctly sings' crastinus DEIS ', this must be understood as ' gods / goddess' and not 'day', ie with the sense '(to) tomorrow with the ...'. While 'crastinus' remains only as 'adjective noun'.
In support of these comments here is the Latin text and English translation of '(O) Miraculum ':

(A WONDERFUL THING)

Once we were singing

the story of a great journey

the moonlight on water,

the shores, a star, the sky.

To set sail,

a wonderful thing.

To sail away. It’s true.

Once, the open sea

under the evening star.

And so we sailed away.

In this day

we sing of the white snow

the moonlight on ice,

a tear and rain.

To set sail,

a wonderful thing.

To sail away. It’s true.

Wayfarers

see the sky,

the ocean and the earth.

To set sail,

a wonderful thing.

To sail away. It’s true.

Go! Go!

The sea, the sea

under the evening star.

To set sail,

a wonderful thing.

to Sail Away. It's true.

For Already it is the twentieth year!

Oh, time is a dream!

To Set Sail,

a wonderful thing.

to Sail Away. It's true.

And Perhaps

tomorrow we will sail away. Sail away.

Miraculum Musically, especially in the central part instrumental, really gives the impression of sent a ship at full sail, carry out the waves, blown by the wind, the sense of freedom and travel the open sea, which Enya expresses with his music and 'pinched' that has made famous from Orinoco Flow, and from that video that depicts the ship, which, ideally, Miraculum is connected, closing a circle of 20-year career. Navigation 'doing well' that Enya (Enya, Nicky and Roma) construed as a miracle, a wonder even possible ... conducive to the gods, God willing.
