I Mavericks, American country music band, formed in 1989 in Miami, Florida, deriving its name from what it's called the cattle are not tagged and, therefore, owned by no one, free . Thanks to their style, a clever fusion of traditional country, pop-rock and Latin music (the roots of Cuban leader Raul Malo and solo), the group becomes a major country band of the early '90s in America, with over four million records sold, three Academy of Country Music Awards, two Country Music Associations Award and a Grammy Award. Current members are: Raul Malo - (August 7, 1965, Miami, Florida) Lead singer and guitarist. Born to Cuban parents is inspired by Johnny Cash, Bill Haley and Elvis Presley, Roy Orbison and Patsy Kline, which appreciates the dramatic intensity of their ballads.
Robert Reynolds - (April 30, 1962, Kansas City, Missouri) Bass. Reynolds shares the musical tastes of Malo, and he and his friend Paul Deakin founded their first band.
Paul Deakin - (September 2, 1959, Miami, Florida) Drummer. Deakin, at the time of the meeting with Malo and Reynolds has assets of years of participation in various local bands of progressive rock.
Eddie Perez - Guitarist. Fans of the group and from time boy wonder of the guitar, takes over from Kane in 2000 and is the current guitarist for the band.

- Guitarist. Join the group in 1991 the output of the second album From Hell to Paradise. Previously, he worked with Joe Ely, Rosie Flores, and Carlene Carter.
Nick Kane (21 August 1954, Jerusalem, Georgia) Guitarist. Holt takes over from shortly after the release of What A Crying Shame in 1994. Remains in the group until 2000 when it is replaced by Eddie Perez.

Kostas , Writer. popular in Nashville, signing with the Mavericks in Malo many successes including "There Goes My Heart", "What a Crying Shame" and "Here Comes The Rain."
Don Cook, producer. Historical producer of Mavericks, signed the album that determine the success of the band: What A Crying Shame. With the Mavericks
name the band began performing in rock clubs with some success in Miami, as the Country clubs want
only 'cover bands' as the group prefers to focus on original material. In the fall of 1990 he released the album independently The Mavericks : consisting of original songs by Malo, aroused the attention of several majors in Nashville, home of the country.
Here the band signed a contract with MCA Records and in 1992 released the album From Hell To Paradise . Though critically acclaimed album not a success among the public, except for the cover "Hey Good Lookin '" by Hank Williams.
The album that determine the success of the band is What a Crying Shame : published in 1994 and produced by Don Cook, the album is now well received and the title song is a close one of the top 40 in rankings United States. In 1995 he got the platinum. In the fall of 1995
publish Music For All Occasions , also a success with critics and audiences. You gold in the summer of 1996.
Departing from the country and with a mix of pop and Latin rhythms, the band released the album in 1998 Trampoline that great success in England, especially the single "Dance the Night Away .
After Trampoline is the time of a collection of unpublished successes, last album for MCA: Supercolossal Smash Hits - The Best Of . Separatisi by the MCA, the group disbanded to pursue solo projects: Malo released an album in 2001 (Today ) and recorded with the group Los Super Seven.
Reynolds participates in projects of the Swag. In 2003 the group meet with Perez in place of Kane, and produces an album entitled The Mavericks for Sanctuary Records.
In 2004 he released an album and a DVD recording of a live concert in Austin, Texas.
